The construction of the RED FORT was initiated in 1638 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who moved the capital of his empire from AGRA TO DELHI.

  It includes numerous structures such as palaces, audience halls, pavilions, gardens and mosques. The most important buildings in the fort are Diwan-I-Aam (HALL OF PUBLIC) and Diwan-I-Khas (HALL OF PRIVATE AUDIENCE).

• JAMA MASJID – One of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid is a remarkable architectural marvel. • LOTUS TEMPLE: It is a symbol of unity, peace and religious tolerance and attracts visitors from all over the world seeking inspiration for a deeper understanding of the Baha’i faith. It contains 27 marble-clad petals arranged in clusters of three to nine sides, forming a central hall approximately 34 meters or 112 feet high.
